The Follow Me Bird

follow me birdThis is the one sign that I really have to scratch my head and wonder just what the hell they were thinking when they invented this one.  It looks nothing like a bird and they are everywhere.  If there is one sign that kicks my butt, it is this one.

I understand the need for this sign, but the actual representation of this sign just makes no damn sense to me.  ”M’s” and “3′s” are even follow me birds.  Damn I hate them.  Did I tell you how much I hate these damn signs?  But we have to live with them and understand them.  God help us all.

 

Tree Carvings

I have been enjoying my research season this far, really having the luxury of sifting through the data documented this last year on the hunt.  This video footage is on a major juncture and creek crossing on a productive cache site.  I walked by this tree and worked around it this year, but only in researching the footage did I realize the same map I have found on surrounding rocks is also evident in the tree carvings and root manipulation.  Check it out, what signs, symbols and clues are you missing on your hunts?

Rocks, they hold a ton of info! Sure they are heavy as hell, but instead of reburying them, I am taking them home to study and to be used in the Dream Fulfilled homestead.

The depression in the soil had me excited then with the roots moved to one side, I had to dig it. So I did, 6 feet down but it was a dry hole. On that first tree there are two “Dowsers” And it led me to a dry hole! Damn Continue reading →

It made me sick when I heard the snap of this rat tail file. I had grabbed the end and thought I was pulling out a square nail. Nope, I just busted a rat tail file! Damn it! This video was uploaded from an Android phone.
